About Me

Since the age of 11, when I wrote my first newspaper and handed out copies to my family in the hallway, I have been drawn to the beauty and power that words have to connect people, encourage us, and help us really ponder the deep truths in life. To this day, the 11-year-old in me still loves to inform and record my many thoughts. Since earning my B.A. in English and Creative Writing, I have been published as a guest on the DalyFocus (Focus on the Family’s President’s blog), KidsFirst Community, and the Caring Network blog.

Much of my writing focuses on the bitter, the sweet, and the deep things that make life beautiful and real. I write to share some of the difficult and lovely things that I have learned through my own journey, to ponder some of the tough questions I've encountered, and to share the little gems of encouragement that I've clung to each day.

When I am not reading or writing, I am usually exploring the great outdoors or spending time with my 7 sisters - my best friends. My Colorado native blood will always be drawn to things like snowboarding, hiking, and breathing in the mountain air. I'm always on the lookout for a good library or coffee shop, and I have a passion for exploring new cities and meeting new people.
